Lumecca by InMode uses intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy to improve the skins appearance. The technology in Lumecca uses a higher peak power in order to deliver a stronger result, which leads to fewer treatments than other IPL machines on the market.

Can treat the following conditions:

  • Ages spots (red/borwn pigmentations)
  • Vascular lesions such as spider viens and poikiloderma
  • Rosacea (redness)
  • Freckles
  • Sun damage

Lumecca IPL can be used on all areas of the body. Most commonly treated areas are those regularly exposed to the sun such as the face, décolletage, hands, neck, legs and arms.

During your Lumecca IPL treatment, there will be a bright flash of light from the Lumecca device which produces a sensation similar to that of a light rubber band snap. Redness and warming of the skin are normal after treatment, and usually subside within an hour. Most patients find the treatment to be quite tolerable.*

It is important to avoid direct or excessive sun exposure and tanning for one month prior to the treatment, as well as during the weeks following treatment. Most patient’s schedule this treatment during a time when they won’t experience direct sun exposure.

Lumecca IPL is best used on individuals who are more prone to hyper or hypo-pigmentation following an IPL treatment, such as olive or brown skin tones. It is important to schedule a consultation for Lumecca at Leavitt Women's Healthcare and determine if IPL is right for you.

The improved of skin tone appearance can be achieved in as little as one IPL treatment session, however, most patients may need to undergo a minimum of three treatments with our Lumecca IPL, typically providing even better results. The IPL treatment regimen is determined based on the severity of skin damage, skin type and specific type of treatment needed.
